Thank you for visiting our website. My name is Pastor Dave and I have been at First Baptist Church for nine years. As you examine our website, I trust you will gain some insight into the purpose of our church. There are many good churches that preach the gospel. My prayer is that we are one of those churches upon which God has His hand.

It is our desire to see people come to a saving knowledge of Christ. Our next goal is to work with families and individuals and teach them “how to live”.

I believe we grow spiritually from the inside out. It is a process – “line upon line, precept upon precept”. This process takes time by way of expository preaching, topical sermons and character studies in the Bible. When we know and love God, we can then serve Him with joy, raise our families to love Him and also find His will for our lives.
Youth ministry was best exemplified by Jesus when He insisted to the disciples, “Let the children come to me.” God has given us at First Baptist Church a great love for young people. Our desire is that the children in our church grow up to be godly men and women who love the Lord and want to serve Him all their lives. Kids are looking for answers today and are told by the world, “just listen to your heart”. We believe the Bible is our blueprint for guiding young lives to yield to God and love Him with all their hearts. With the Bible as our guide, we have a variety of classes for those 2 years old through high school. Our teachers and leaders care about our kids, and get involved in their lives outside of the normal church setting. When our students reach high school, they are given regular opportunities to serve the Lord and our church family through service projects, special music, and missions trips.

Our mission at FBCS is to create successful students for God's glory. In other words, we want to be used by God to mold students in fulfilling their God-given dreams to make Him look great in the eyes of others.

We fulfill this mission through a spirit of excellence, quality relationships, and sacrificial service. We desire not to be just a good school in God's eyes, but a great school for His glory. It's so easy to settle for a good education; however, our passion has always been to move Christian education from good to great. Second, we want to build lasting relationships between parents, students, and staff (i.e., the FBCS Family) that are genuine, encouraging, respectful and compassionate. Finally, we seek to see our students and staff as sacrificial servants, wholly committed to God and His Kingdom.

We pray and hope you will enthusiastically join us in an atmosphere of lifelong learning and growing for God's glory and other's good. Please call us today at (724) 287-1188 or visit us at ButlerFBCS.com to become part of the FBCS Family. We would love to talk with you.
